Diy updating an old trunks
We were both nervous walking up to the trunk, thinking it might be rotted, dirty or have some other "surprise" in store for us.The only real surprise turned out being that the trunk was a little dusty, had a torn handle and a few wrinkles on the outer bottom lining, but was in great shape otherwise.
A lot of old trunks come in brown or black, but that doesn’t mean you have to forgo the trend altogether if you’re looking for a lighter option.
Imagine a bright pink or bold blue piece in an otherwise understated room.
Or, if a soft, vintage look is more your style, opt for pale aqua or yellow with a shabby, timeworn finish.
You can go with black or white, but why not up the wow factor by painting it a fun color.
You can go soft and distressed or glossy and bright.
